Equipment worth over MNT 520 million presented to Gobi-Altai aimag hospital

Gobi-Altai /MONTSAME/. In the frameworks of the partnership agreement signed between the Actions Mongolie association of France and Gobi-Altai aimag, equipment worth over MNT 520 million has been donated to the ophthalmology department and the surgery department of the Gobi-Altai aimag hospital. The equipment consists of retinoscope, biomicroscope, lensmeter, keratometer and tables and chairs as well as ophthalmic surgery microscope.
A team led by French ocular surgeons Dr. René Fritsch and Dr. Jean Claude Villon conducted training for the opticians and nurses, teaching them how to use the equipment. During the course of the training, 31 patients were diagnosed and treated, along with 5 patients going under lens replacement surgeries.
