Earthquakes recorded in Bayankhongor and Sukhbaatar aimags

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. A 5.2
magnitude earthquake occurred at 07.46pm, yesterday, May 16 in the area named ‘Khos Ulaan-Uul’, 20km away from the center of Zag soum, Bayankhongor aimag. The earthquake did not cause any
damage and there were no casualties, reported the soum Governor.
The same day, a 4.1
magnitude earthquake was recorded at 08.28pm in Bayandelger soum of Sukhbaatar
aimag. An epicenter of the quake was the area named ‘Ekhen Nutag’, 29 km away
from Bayandelger soum.
The head of Bayandelger soum Governor's office reported that citizens felt tremors, but no losses and injuries were recorded.
