Border crossing facilitation discussed with Thailand

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 7, Director General of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs L.Munkhtushig met with Police Major General Pananchai Chuenjaitham, commander of Investigation division of the Immigration Bureau at the Royal Thai Police.
In addition to discussing the facilitation of border crossing procedures for Mongolians, the parties agreed to cooperate on reduction of theft crime committed by Mongolians, sharing opinions and information on this matter.
In connection with the commencement of direct flights from Mongolia to Thailand, the number of Mongolian tourists traveling to Thailand is increasing every year, reaching 15 thousand in 2018.
