Mongolia and Japan to hold politico-military talks

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The fifth consultative meeting between the authorities for foreign relations, security and defense of Mongolia and Japan to be held on April 24 in Tokyo, Japan.

The meeting chaired by Ms E.Sarantogos, Director General of the Asia-Pacific Department at the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Mongolia, and Mr K.Kanasugi, Director General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau of the Japanese Foreign Ministry, will be attended by the representatives of the National Security Council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense of the two countries.

The meeting will discuss the Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and Japan in the fields of politics, security and defense sectors, and deepening bilateral cooperation. The parties will also exchange opinions and information on some international and regional issues.

The first politico-military talks between the countries were held in January 2013 in Tokyo.
