Government issues resolution based on teachers' proposals
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 7th Congress of Mongolian Teachers wrapped up today. After the opening of the congress held yesterday, Cabinet of Ministers convened for an irregular meeting. Considering the proposals sent by the teachers, the Cabinet issued a resolution which indicates some actions and measures to be taken, including:
To hold Teachers Congress every five years
To cover expense of visual teaching aids and to give incentives to teachers working with disabled children starting from September 1, 2019.
To reform salary system based on work performance
To involve teachers in preventative medical check-ups
annually
To reform system on developing, retraining and educating teachers
To introduce e-governance or to provide teachers with computers, creating technological advantages
Moreover, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare S.Chinzorig was assigned to conduct assessments on working condition and work evaluation. Also Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg was obliged to oversee the implementation of the resolution.
In addition, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports established a memorandum on publishing textbooks with investment of MNT 8 billion from the Asian Development Bank.
