MIAT to receive Вoeing 737 Max in January

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ MIAT Mongolian Airlines Company is to receive two new aircraft to increase the number of seats. The first one of the two Вoeing 737 Max will be handed over on January 21. MIAT and Avolan companies signed an operating agreement for two Boeing 737 Max Aircraft in 2017.

 

MIAT Mongolian Airlines is renewing its fleet with Boeing 737 which is considered as one of the best-selling aircraft. Back in 2013, MIAT company purchased ‘Boeing 767-300 ER’ from Boeing Company with a loan of USD 20 million of ING Bank of the Netherlands and repaid the loan in December 2018.

 

This time, the company will use the two aircraft on long-term lease in order to avoid additional financial burden. The company considers that there is necessity to improve their operation by increasing the number of flights, making their operation more profitable and opening new flight routes. Moreover, the authorities emphasized that flight ticket price now changes depending on demands as the company launched a new booking program.
