Mongolia-Nepal consultation takes place
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The first
consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the
Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal was held in Kathmandu, Nepal on October
31. The meeting was co-chaired by D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Ganesh Prasad Dhakal, Chief of the North East
Asia Division and Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal.
Both parties expressed their
aspiration to intensify bilateral relations at all levels and agreed to
increase frequency of mutual high-level visits and to expand cooperation in the
sectors of politics, economy, trade, culture, education, sports, tourism and so
forth in the future.
The similar religious and cultural background of the two countries is the solid base for developing bilateral friendly relations, highlighted Mongolian delegation and voiced willingness to deepen cooperation at bilateral, international, as well as regional level as the land locked developing countries.
The Nepali side emphasized
interest to expand cooperation in the spheres of trade, politics, economy,
sports and tourism as well as under the International Think Tank for LLDCs
while noting readiness to further exchange views and actively cooperate in
accordance with its active foreign policy in the Asia-Pacific region.
The sides agreed to hold the second consultative meeting in Ulaanbaatar next year.
