Athletes joint preparation in Japan discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports G.Ganbayar met with delegates led by Seiji Kihara, Former Foreign Affairs Minister of Japan and a Member of House of Representatives, sharing views on receiving Mongolian athletes in Musashimurayama city and making joint training. 
 
The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude on receiving Mongolian athletes in Musashimurayama city who will participate in Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and exchanged views on making Mongolian athletes’ training in prefectures of Japan once a year with support of Japanese side in 2018-2020 while putting a request to collaborate in training personnel in traditional and sports medicine.
 
Currently, Mongolian athletes have been qualified to partake in 7 kinds of sports including judo, freestyle wrestling and shooting and are striving to get more rights in 2019. The Ministry intends to develop team sports and it will be pleasant to cooperate with Japan in this field, he added.  
 
Mr. Seiji Kihara said Japan will organize Children’s masquerade in October, 2018 in collaboration with Khan-Uul district and expressed his hope that the Ministry will render support on it and cooperate.
 
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged opinions on establishing Training and Research Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Sports Injury with support of the Government of Japan.
