Peace Run torch arrives in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Peace Run torch is passing through Ulaanbaatar. The torch was relayed from Amgalanbaatar city of Hulunbuir province, Inner Mongolia, People’s Republic of China and crossed the Mongolian-Chinese border in Dornod aimag on May 31.
The Peace Run torch welcome to Ulaanbaatar began in Baganuur district on June 5. It will be relayed to Tuv aimag on June 8 after passing through Nalaikh, Bayanzurkh and Khan-Uul districts. The torch will reach Russia on June 22 through the Tsagaannuur border port of Bayan-Ulgii aimag, crossing about 3000 km through 39 soums of 13 aimags of Mongolia.

Mongolia first received the Peace Run torch in 1995 and has been successfully organizing the run every two years, thus joining the Asia-Pacific route.
