Chairman of Lower House of the Irish Parliament pays a courtesy call on President Kh.Battulga

Chairman of Lower House of the Irish Parliament Seán Ó Fearghaíl, who is on an official visit to Mongolia, paid a courtesy call on President Kh.Battulga on April 30.

In the beginning, President Kh. Battulga highlighted that the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries is occurring this year, and asked to discuss about how to mark the event and develop bilateral cooperation intensively.


Chairman Seán Ó Fearghaíl said that Ireland has possibility to cooperate with Mongolia in all sectors, such as tourism, agriculture, technology and education. He also introduced about his country’s economic structure, exports and imports and expressed its willingness to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Citing an example of Ireland’s annual milk export, which currently brings around 4 billion Euros, President Kh.Battulga stressed that introducing Ireland’s advanced agricultural technology into Mongolia would be highly significant to the economy of Mongolia that is home to approximately 70 million head of livestock.

They also exchanged views on promoting bilateral cooperation in all sectors and rendering policy level supports to  bilateral business sectors, providing possibilities to cooperate.
