Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to the National Agency of Meteorology and Environment Monitoring (NAMEM), temperature will drop in northern parts of the country on April 1.
Precipitation and sleet are expected in the Altai and Khangai Mountains on March 29, in some areas of the country on March 30, in some areas of western aimags and western parts of central aimags on March 31 and in the most parts of the country on April 1.
Strong wind will occur in the Altai Mountains on March 30, in western half of the country on March 31 and in most of the country on April 1, reaching 16-18m/sec. Occasional dust and snow storms will occur, reaching 24m/sec.
In the depressions of Uvs lake and Darkhad and in the basin of Tes, the nighttime temperature will be between -4 and -9 degrees Celsuis and the daytime high will be +6 degrees Celsuis.
In the mountainous areas of Khangai, Khuvsgul and Khentii, in the head of Zavkhan river and, in the basins of Khuren belchir, Ider, Yuruu, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, Ulz and Khalkh, the daytime temperature will peak at +11 degrees Celsius and the nighttime temperature will be around -1 and -6 degrees Celsuis respectively.
In Gobi Desert and in southern parts of gobi region, the nighttime temperature will top out at +8 degrees Celsuis, and the highest of day will be +22 degrees Celsuis.
In other regions, the nighttime temperature will be between -2 and +3 degrees Celsuis, and the daytime temperature will be +11 and +16 degrees Celsuis.
