Winter greenhouse farming supplies fresh vegetables in Zavkhan
SocietyThe company is supplying 6-8 varieties of vegetables to the market. They planted romaine, spinach, pak choy, parsley,radish and from their second harvest in March they received cucumber and tomatoes. Currently, they are cultivating in two winter greenhouses with 300 square metre.
They harvested 3.5-4kg of leafy vegetables and 8-12kg of tomatoes and bell pepper from 1square metre field. Next year, by building two more winter greenhouses they will have four greenhouses for separate planting of cucumber, tomato, bell pepper and leafy vegetables. Also, the company built a 300 square metre root cellar and a building for vegetable processing plant. Kh.Davaakhuu, Director of 'Zagasan nud-Zagastai' company has talked about the company's plan to produce pickled products based on the winter greenhouse farming.
