Brief cold weather expected over next few days

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Spring cold snap is expected to return in most parts of the country on March 14 and continue in eastern half of the country on March 15.
Snow is expected in most parts of the country and in some areas of western, eastern and gobi aimags on March 14, in southern parts of the country on March 15 and in western parts of western aimags on March 17.
The wind will get stronger temporarily, reaching 16-18 m/sec in gobi, steppe and prairie areas on March 14. Snow and dust storm with wind speed of 16-18 m/sec will occur in those areas.
In the depressions of Uvs lake and Darkhad and, in the basins of Tes, Yuruu, Terelj, Onon and Ulz rivers, the nighttime high is expected to be minus 23 and the daytime high will be minus 10 degrees Celsuis.
In the mountainous areas of Khangai, Khuvsgul, the daytime temperature will make it to +1 degrees Celsuis and the nighttime temperature will be around minus 13 and minus 18 degrees Celsuis respectively.
In Gobi Desert and in southern parts of gobi region, the nighttime temperature will be 0 to -5 degrees Celsuis, and the high of day will be 7-12 degrees Celsuis.
In other regions, the nighttime temperature will be -7-12 degrees Celsuis, and the daytime temperature will be 1-6 degrees Celsuis.
