Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The City Archive Department announces 2018 as “Year of increased responsibility in archiving and recording official documents”. Within the framework numerous actions will be taken including continuing archive digitization, opening archive offices in districts, monitoring filing of official documents in organizations, introducing risk assessment and modifying necessary processes. To introduce latest technology in archiving used in developed countries, they also plan to expand their foreign relations.

The City Archive Department has reported their achievements in 2017, and outlined their work plan for 2018. This year, the department has digitized 98 percent of documents related to determining an individual’s years of service, as well as offered 21 different services to 9742 citizens through its branches and website www.lavlagaa.ub.gov.mn. They also made it possible for people to receive reply of their inquiries through municipal service centers or nearest archive offices. The site https://edoc.ub.gov.mn now contains records of 1018 organizations in the city, making it easier to process, check, send, approve, save and archive documents.  The department also organized training workshops, involving 14 thousand workers.
