Prime Minister meets trade union representatives

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 12, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh met representatives of the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions, and expressed the Cabinet’s readiness to cooperate with the Confederation in solving the challenges in the field.

The meeting was attended by S.Chinzorig, Minister of Labor and Social Protection and representatives of the Confederation’s members such as the Trade Unions of Education and Science, Railway, Construction, Food and Agriculture, Environment, Health and Tuv aimag.

The Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions reached agreement with the Government on a Tripartite Agreement on Labor and Society, laying the foundations for wage increase for teachers and public servants.

“2018 should be a year to seek opportunities for a real increase of income for all workers and improve the legal environment. We would like to cooperate on this,” said Kh.Amgalanbaatar, President of the Confederation.
The Prime Minister said that the Cabinet will work on phased increase of wage.
