Deputy Foreign Minister visiting Paraguay

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg is visiting the Republic of Paraguay on November 8-10.
On November Wednesday, B.Battsetseg met Mario Leon, Paraguayan Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Oscar Stark, Deputy Minister of Commerce. She expressed Mongolia’s willingness to learn Paraguayan experience and achievements in agriculture. The Paraguayan side confirmed its readiness to collaborate with Mongolia.
As the sides agreed to extend the cooperation memorandum between the Mongolian Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and the Paraguayan Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, the countries will determine cooperation directions in the agricultural and food sectors. The countries will also cooperate in introducing progressive techniques and technologies and expand the ties and cooperation between scientific institutes, cooperatives and private sector.
In scope of her visit, the Deputy FM met Santiago Bertoni, President of the Paraguayan Institute of Agricultural Technology, exchanging views on implementing joint projects and programs and exchange specialists.
By the visiting program, B.Battsetseg will meet her Paraguayan counterpart Federico Gonzalez Franco to hold a consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
