NEMA rescues more than 1,000 people during blizzard

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has reported it received over 1,000 emergency calls during the blizzard over the weekend.
Snow fell heavily in western, central and eastern parts of the country starting from October 7, leading to sharp increase of emergency situations arising across the country such as getting stuck in snow or meeting road accidents.
NEMA servicemen rescued 1,349 people and freed 242 vehicles from snow.
