Road transport along the Asian Highway Network under consultation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A consultative meeting of Transportation Ministers of Mongolia, the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China is being held in Ulaan-Ude, the RF on August 30-31, discussing the preparations for implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement on International road transport along the Asian Highway Network. Mongolian delegates headed by Deputy Minister for Road and Transportation Development B.Tsogtserel are participating the meeting.

The three countries established the intergovernmental agreement on December 08, 2016 in Moscow, the RF, and the delegates of the three countries are now focusing on pressing issues in implementation of the agreement, including ensuring security in the international road transport, facilitation of cross border transport, developing regional economic cooperation through expanding infrastructure, integration of auto transportation sector, technologies, tariffs, relevant documents and standard requirements, facilitation of border checking by coordinating operations of customs and inspection services and solving their problems.
