National consumer price index remains unchanged

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In July 2017, the national consumer price index across the country was not changed compared with the previous month, increased by 4.2% compared with the end of previous year and by 3.4% compared with the same period of 2016.
This change of 3.4% from the same period of the previous year was mainly due to increase of 10.2% in prices of transport group (purchase of vehicles increased by 20.5%), 1.9% in prices for clothing, footwear and cloth group. In July 2017, the consumer price index for Ulaanbaatar consumers decreased by 0.1% from the previous month, increased by 4.7% from the end of previous year, and by 3.3% from the same period of 2016. The change of 3.3% from the same period of the previous year was mainly due to increase of 11.1% in prices of transport group, 0.3% in prices for clothing, footwear and cloth group, 2.5% in prices for housing, water, electricity and fuels group.
