President Ts.Elbegdorj calls for active voting to end the election

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 11.40 am, July 7, President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj cast his vote in the second ballot of the Presidential election at the polling station No. 1851 in Sukhbaatar district of Ulaanbaatar.
After giving his vote for the fifth President of Mongolia, President Ts.Elbegdorj made a comment. He said, " I would like to note that the people choose the President, but President does not choose his/her people. Whoever is elected, the people change the President. But the President does not change his/her people. Therefore, give your vote actively without being influenced. Let’s draw this election to a close with this vote and do our work. I encourage people to actively participate in the polling".
The 1851th polling station has 2518 voters registered in the list and 198 voters are marked as "temporarily removed". Among them, four voters have retrieved their rights and 10 voters cast their votes in a sealed portable box yesterday.
According to head of the polling station B.Bazarsuren, voter turnout showed a slight increase as compared to the June 26 polling. For example, 503 voters voted by 11.00 AM in the previous voting with 20.12 percent attendance, today, it reached 21.17 percent. Participation of people aged over 26 is comparitively high, same as the previous polling.
