Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Parliament approved amendments to the Labor law at today’s plenary session. It is common that employers in manufacturing and service sectors hire persons without establishing labor contract and not giving salaries for a certain period of time. Therefore, lawmakers included new articles on probationary and training periods to regulate the issue in detail.
The amendments indicated that an employer can make employee practice, following an experienced employee to improve his/her skill and experience and the probationary period should not exceed 3 months.
“Part time or Hour job” conception is legalized newly in the law, reflecting that wage for part time job should match with hours spent and labor productivity and the parties should establish labor contract mutually agreeing on their duties and functions, working hour and wage.
According to the law amendments, the employer must establish a labor contract in written form and give one copy of the contract to employee and if an employer fails to establish labor contract in written, he/she will assume legal responsibility.
