Mongolian Football Federation signs agreement with German coach

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian Football Federation has chosen Mr. Hans Michael Weiss as a national league coach, in consideration of his UEFA PRO rank and experience in working with Asian players.

Coach Weiss and the MFF leaders inked the one-year agreement on Monday, March 27. Mr. Michael Weiss started coaching the Philippines football team, which ranked at the 190th place in the world ranking at that time, and elevated its rank up to the 127th place within three years.

Hans had worked as an assistant coach of the Chinese national league and chief coach of the national league of the Republic of Burundi, J League of Japan and the First national league of Romania.

While working here, Mr. Michael Weiss is to place focus on finding solutions to challenges faced by football teams of Mongolia of all age categories, and is to lead the team of football coaches.

Mr. Michael Weiss will be training the Mongolian national team for the Asian Football Championships (AFC) under 23, to be held this July in Thailand. The team will have games with Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia on July 19, 21 and 23.
