Commercial sector in statistics
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As of the first quarter of this year, there were 67.4 thousand enterprises nationwide.
25.6 thousand or 38.0% of them do business in wholesale and retail trade sector which trade turnover amounted to MNT 2,137.9 billion in this period to decline by MNT 99.3 billion or 4.4% against the previous year. Compared to the same period of 2015, wholesale turnover decreased by MNT 92.8 billion or 7.5%, while the retail--by MNT 6.5 billion or 0.6%.
91.1% of both wholesale and retail trade were made up in Ulaanbaatar city. Total trade turnover in the commercial sector went down by 0.2-21.9% in Bayankhongor, Omnogobi, Darkhan-Uul, Bulgan and Orkhon aimags against the previous year, but it increased 2.1 times in other aimags.
