Speaker Z.Enkhbold starts ASEP9
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament) Z.Enkhbold made the opening remarks at the 9th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership that officially commenced at the State House in Ulaanbaatar.
Congratulating all the gathered on taking part in the ASEP9 in Ulaanbaatar, the Speaker said this measure is running within the forthcoming this July 11th ASEM Summit. He emphasized that the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership has contributed to the ties between the two continents in the politics, social-economy and cultural areas.
Having joined the ASEM during its 8th Summit in Beijing in 2008, Mongolia always aspires to contribute to talks and cooperation between Asia and Europe, including the collaboration of parliaments of ASEM members as well as the cooperation with the European Parliament. Action of the Asia-Europe meetings have become an arena of unofficial negotiations which plays a vital role in the inter-continental cooperation, he underlined.
Broadening the trade, economy and investments collaboration between the two continents is one of the main goals of the ASEM, the Speaker said and highlighted a necessity of intensifying talks and cooperation in these matters.
Mr Enkhbold talked about further actions of the ASEM, Mongolia’s role in it, plans of Mongolia for the ASEM Summit, and wished all the participants a success.
