Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Poland intends to collaborate with Ulaanbaatar city in renovation of public transport, in introducing economically-beneficial and environmentally-friendly electric transport and in establishing a zoo.

The Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Poland in Mongolia Mr Mihal Labenda said it Tuesday at a meeting with D.Battulga, a head of the Citizens’ Representative Khural (council) of Ulaanbaatar.

In response, Battulga said the UB city is to cooperate after carefully having studied whether the electric buses fit our weather. "UB started last August big renovation in its public transport, the  E-system has been introduced," he noted.

He also appreciated a proposal about opening a zoo in UB, underlining a significance of choosing a right place for the zoo by professionals from Poland’s zoos.

“Ulaanbaatar city tried to open a zoo in 1980s, but it failed due to some reasons. It is important to make clear whether we have suitable for the zoo place, and if it becomes possible, we will be grateful to cooperate with Poland,” Battulga said.
