Turkish Embassy in UB celebrates 92th Independence Day

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ For the second year, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Ulaanbaatar has organized a reception for marking the 92th Independence Day of Turkey.

The event, which took place last Thursday, attracted more than 300 guests, including the first President of Mongolia P.Ochirbat, a head of the Mongolia-Turkey parliamentary group in the State Great Khural A.Bakei MP, a Minister of Defense Ts.Tsolmon, a Minister of Population Development and Social Welfare, and a Secretary of the National Secutiry Council Ts.Enkhtuvshin.

In the opening remarks, the Ambassador Murat Karagoz highlighted the key achievements in Mongolia-Turkey relations in 2015. The Minister  of Defense and the head of Mongolian representatives in the Mongolia-Turkey economy and commerce committee Ts.Tsolmon underlined that the bilateral relations has been upgraded to the comprehensive partnership level, and expressed a satisfaction with the intensified defense cooperation.

The same day, a ceremony ran to pay tribute to the statue of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in Ulaanbaatar. The ceremony was attended by the Embassy officials, representatives of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) , Turkish Airlines, special forces delegates taking part in the Nomadic Warrior 2015 joint military exercises, and students of the Turkic Language Study Department of the Mongolian State University (MSU).
