PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A plenary meeting of the parliamentary session on Thursday continued the second discussion of draft amendments to the laws on the 2015 budget, on the 2015 budget for the Human Development Fund (HDF) and on the 2015 budget for the Social Insurance Fund (SIF).
A majority of MPs (72.9%) backed a proposal put by D.Gankhuyag, Ts.Davaasuren, D.Narankhuu, M.Sonompil and B.Choijilsuren on reducing the projected revenue of the 2015 state budget by MNT 51.1 billion, based on the 2015 assumed performance.
Over 80% of the MPs backed a minimization of the current expenses in all state-budgetary organizations, except the salaries for November and December, by MNT 8,089.8 million or 15-20%. The plenary meeting also supported to add MNT 100.0 million to the budget for current expenses of the Academic Theatre of Drama. The money will be allotted from the package of the Minister of Education, Culture and Science.
By the clarification, MPs backed a placement of extra money in the 2015 budget for investment works although some MPs were against it on the ground of the "economic situation".
Having finished the discussion of the budgets, the plenary meeting decided to pass the draft amendments to the third discussion and then took a break.
