于本月7日至12日间在菲律宾马尼拉举行的亚洲成人卧式举重锦标赛中蒙古国选手共摘得8枚金牌，为祖国争光。蒙古国举重联盟8位选手参加此次比赛并夺得8枚金牌、4枚银牌。其中参加在-120公斤级的巴•其木德策仁夺得金牌并创造了世界新纪录。
