Traffic Accident Triggers a Catastrophic Fire Outbreak
Early Wednesday
morning, a traffic accident occurred at an intersection near Dunjingarav market
between a liquefied natural gas (LNG) truck and a car in the Mongolian capital.
The impact resulted in a massive fire outbreak and a sequence of explosions, leading
to the tragic deaths of three firefighters, and causing injuries to 11 people,
as confirmed by officials.
The preliminary
assessment from Mongolia's Emergency Management Office revealed that the truck
collided with a small car, triggering an immediate explosion. Subsequently, a
second blast occurred, exerting significant force, and claiming the lives of
the firefighters present at the scene.
