In the first 9 months of 2019, Mongolia traded with 145 countries from all over the world and total trade turnover reached USD 10.5 billion, of which USD 5.9 billion were exports and USD 4.6 billion were imports.
Tax revenue increases by 21.2 percent
In the first 9 months of 2019, total equilibrated revenue and grants of the General government budget amounted to MNT 7.7 trillion and total expenditure and net lending amounted to MNT 7.3 trillion, resulting a surplus of MNT 484.6 billion in the equilibrated balance.
Mongolia and Kazakhstan to jointly build gold and silver refining plant
Mongolia and Kazakhstan established an agreement on building and commissioning a gold and silver refining plant during a Mongolia-Kazakhstan Business Forum held on October 11 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. The Kazakhstan side will introduce its technology of gold and silver refining into Mongolia free of charge. The patent costs USD 30 million.
Nationwide harvesting reported
During the spring sowing 2019, 512.0 thousand hectares were cultivated for crop, including 364.8 thousand hectares for grain of which 340.0 thousand hectares were for wheat; 14.8 thousand hectares for potatoes, 8.0 thousand hectares for vegetables, 82.4 thousand hectares for oil plants and 42.0 thousand hectares for fodder plants.

27.2 thousand tons of meat exported
According to the statistics of customs office, a total of 27.2 thousand tons of meat, including 13.5 thousand tons of horse meat, 1045 tons of mutton and goat meat, 855 tons of by-products and 11.8 thousand tons of heat-processed meat has been exported in the first nine months of this year.

67.7 million livestock counted nationwide to winter
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A nationwide livestock census performed last August found that there were around 84.2 million livestock animals nationwide, including 541.5 thousand camels, 4.5 million horses, 5.4 million cattle, 39.6 million sheep and 34.5 million goats. The census concluded by gathering data from each local administrative unit showed that some 67.7 million livestock will spend the winter and 16.5 million livestock will be used for meat preparation.
