Savings in the National Currency of Mongolia Increased by MNT 5.4 Trillion
The savings in Tugrug, the national currency of Mongolia, reached MNT 20.7 trillion as of the end of October 2024, an increase of MNT 94 billion (0.5 percent.) Compared to the same period of 2023, the total amount of Tugrug savings increased by 5.4 trillion, or 34.9 percent.

Central Bank of Mongolia Decides to Keep Policy Interest Rate at 10 Percent
The Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Mongolia has decided at a regular meeting to maintain the policy interest rate at 10 percent and increase the reserve requirement in both domestic and foreign currency by 1 percentage point respectively to 11 percent and 16 percent, considering the current state of the economy, banking, and financial markets and the risks of the external environment.

New Electricity Tariffs Set
The Energy Regulatory Commission is set to increase electricity tariffs from November 15, 2024.
