Arkhangai Aimag Plants 28500 Trees
As part of the "One Billion Trees" National Campaign, Arkhangai aimag has planted 28500 trees across a total area of 19 hectares, including eight hectares in the landfill site in Erdenebulgan soum, six hectares in Ikhtamir soum, and five hectares in Battsengel soum. The aimag plans to plant trees along the roads to the Entry Gate, covering an area of 12 hectares, this autumn.

Onon-Balj Biosphere Reserve of Mongolia has been registered to the global network of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves. UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme has approved the designation of 10 new biosphere reserves in 9 countries, and one transboundary biosphere reserve across 2 countries during the 35th meeting of the International Coordinating Council of the Programme on June 14.
