For the first time, the two teams won a twin bronze at the Asian Cup. It is a remarkable achievement, marking the 3x3 Basketball Men's Team's third medal and the first medal for the 3x3 Basketball Women's Team at the Asian Championships.

Route for the Second Line of Cable Car in Ulaanbaatar Defined
Mongolia's Cable Car Transport Project is moving ahead with its second phase, which aims at improving public transportation in Ulaanbaatar. The new phase will be 2.7 km long and run from the southwest parking lot of the National Park to the northwest side of Shangri-La Centre, where D. Natsagdorj's statue was previously located. The goal is to provide more transportation options for citizens and increase ridership in the Capital.

For the First Time, Mongolia Receives Double Bronze at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup
The FIBA Asia Cup 2024 took place in Singapore on March 27-31, 2024. A total of 23 men's teams and 20 women's teams competed in the tournament. Australia emerged victorious, securing two gold medals. Notably, the Mongolian National 3x3 men's and women's teams made history by winning two bronze medals, marking the first time Mongolia has achieved such success in the tournament.

The two agencies will cooperate by exchanging daily news, sharing innovations and experiences in journalism, and jointly organizing exhibitions to display the works of photographers.

State Great Khural of Mongolia and Inter-Parliamentary Union Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Ulaanbaatar, March 28, 2024. /MONTSAME/. The 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) took place on March 23-27, 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland. Deputy Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Munkhbaatar Lkhagva met with Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungon. The two sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation between the State Great Khural of Mongolia and the IPU. During the meeting, Deputy Chairman L. Munkhbaatar and Secretary-General Chungon signed an agreement to extend the Memorandum of Understanding established in 2022 between the State Great Khural of Mongolia and the IPU until 2025. Consequently, both parties unanimously expressed that the extension of the Memorandum signifies the expansion of cooperation between the two sides and the strengthening of mutual trust.

Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai: Zamiin-Uud Border Port Meets International Standards
Ulaanbaatar, March 27, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai visited the ongoing construction of the passenger and cargo transport complex at the Zamiin-Uud border port on March 24, 2024. As part of the Port Revival initiative under the "New Revival Policy," the port has undergone extensive renovation and expansion to align with international standards. The total area has been expanded eightfold, accommodating a sevenfold increase in capacity for passenger cars and tripling the capacity for large cargo vehicles.The Prime Minister emphasized, “The primary objective of the "New Revival Policy" is to modernize the port infrastructure. Additionally, with the completion of the expansion and modernization of the Zamiin-Uud port, the main economic and trade gateway of Mongolia, it is now compliant with international standards. Previously, the Zamiin-Uud port handled approximately 900 passengers and 100 vehicles per hour. Now, following upgrades, these numbers have significantly risen to 5,000 passengers and 500 vehicles per hour. The port now operates 24 hours a day, with a capacity to serve up to 20,000 individuals daily, marking a substantial increase in its ability to handle passengers and goods.”
