Mongolian 3x3 Basketball Teams to be Awarded MNT 500 Million

Ulaanbaatar, April 11, 2024. /MONTSAME/. Mongolian National 3x3 Basketball Men’s and Women’s Teams earned bronze medals at the FIBA Asia Cup 2024 organized in Singapore on March 27-31, 2024. For the first time, the two teams won a twin bronze at the Asian Cup. It is a remarkable achievement, marking the 3x3 Basketball Men's Team's third medal and the first medal for the 3x3 Basketball Women's Team at the Asian Championships.


The two teams making significant contributions to promoting Mongolia's international reputation and igniting national pride will receive cash prizes named after the Prime Minister of Mongolia, subject to relevant regulations.


The cash prize of MNT 500 million will be allocated from the Government Reserve Fund.
