518 thousand tons of wheat expected to be cropped this year
This year, Mongolia has set a goal to harvest 538 thousand tons of grain, of which 518 thousand tons of wheat, 171 thousand tons of potato, 102 thousand tons of vegetable, 64 thousand tons of fodder plants, 34 tons of oil plants and three thousand tons of berries.

Over 6000 children to be available to enroll schools and kindergartens this fall
During its regular meeting on May 2, the Cabinet made a decision to build kindergartens and schools on 23 locations by concession agreement.

An exhibition ‘Treasure of Mongolian Script and Books’ showcasing collections of Mongolian books and treatises and rich literary cultural heritage by scientist R.Otgonbaatar opened at Statehood History Museum on May 2.

LandEX company signs agreement for logistic trade projects
LandEX company signed agreement for the logistic trade projects with Caofeidian Port Corp. of China during Caofeidian industrial zone’s promotion conference on April 26. It was among the 37 projects settled in Caofeidian with a total investment of over 45 billion yuan, during the conference.

Electric bus manufactured at home to substitute import bus
During its regular meeting on May 2, the Cabinet decided to manufacture two buses named MON-30 and experiment it in public bus service.

Reserve requirements of banks reduced
Reserve requirements of banks have been reduced. In this regard, banks are obliged to accumulate 12 percent of USD deposit and 10 percent of MNT deposit to the Bank of Mongolia in cash.

Ulaanbaatar and Hohhot cities to bring their relations to new level
A meeting of  businessmen from Ulaanbaatar and Hohhot cities was held on the sidelines of Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city and Governor of Capital city S.Batbold’s visit to Hohhot, reported on May 1. In the frames of the business meeting, the Ulaanbaatar Chamber of Commerce and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Inner Mongolia Sub-council (China Chamber of International Commerce Inner  in Hohhot) signed a memorandum of cooperation with an aim to bring business and commerce relations to a new level.

Two students to study nursing in Japan
At the initiative of the MP, Minister of Finance Ch.Khurelbaatar, two students who are interested in obtaining a nursing profession from the  5th and 2nd secondary schools of Ulaangom soum will be selected to study in Japan.

Fish breeding center opens in Khuvsgul aimag
 A Fish Breeding Center has been established in Khuvsgul aimag to create an ecological reserve. The 'Fish Breeding Center' and 'Mongolian Fish Conservation-Taimen  Association' non-governmental organization is jointly breeding 150 thousand baby Lenoks in Bayangol and Delgermurun river basins

One stop shop for gold purchasing to open in aimags
The Precious Metals Assay Inspection Department of Mongolian Agency for Standard and Metrology and the Sustainable Artisanal Mining (SAM) Project of Swiss Development Agency intend to establish Precious Metals Assay Laboratories in Darkhan-Uul and Bayankhongor aimags. In connection with it the Bank of Mongolia (BOM) decided to open One stop shops for gold purchasing in the aimags through its branches.
