The money supply reached MNT 17.3 trillion at the end of June 2018, showing an increase of MNT 304.0 billion or 1.8 percent from the previous month and by MNT 3.9 trillion or 28.7 percent from the same period of the previous year.

Flood warnings issued across the country
The National Agency of Meteorology and Environment Monitoring has issued flood warnings for herders, farmers, entities, organizations and citizens to be cautious and take actions to prevent risks.

Birth rate increases by 7.8 percent
In the first half of 2018, 38055 mothers delivered 38310 children (live births). Compared with the same period of the previous year, number of deliveries and live births increased by 7.8 percent respectively, and death increased by 770 or 9.9 percent.

Illegal gold mining operation stopped
On July 16, a joint working group consisted of Governor Office of Uvs aimag and inspectors of the Department of Specialized Investigation stopped illegal gold mining which was prepared for launching by some citizens who have no special license and other documents to conduct exploration in the Orlogo River and Bor Cliff in Tarialan soum of Uvs aimag.

Foreign trade turnover reaches USD 6.3 billion
In the first half of 2018, Mongolia traded with 140 countries from all over the world and total trade turnover reached USD 6.3 billion, of which USD 3.6 billion were made up by exports and USD 2.7 billion by imports.

Mongolia receives 238 thousand foreign tourists in the first half of 2018
In the first half of 2018, 2.8 million persons crossed the border of Mongolia. Majority of inbound passengers or 39.2% have crossed through Zamiin-Uud border crossing, whereas 17.2% through Buyant-Ukhaa, 12.3% Gashuunsukhait, 11.0% Altanbulag, 7.3% Shiveekhuren, and 13.0% other border crossings.

Registered unemployment decreased in the first half of 2018
At the end of June 2018, the Labor and Social Welfare Services Agencies have registered 37.5 thousand job seekers, of which 25.8 thousand or 68.8% were unemployed and remaining 11.7 thousand or 31.2% were employed but looking for a new job.

Gross industrial output increases
In the first half of 2018, the gross industrial output reached MNT 7.4 trillion, showing an increase of MNT 1.5 trillion (24.6%) from the same period of the previous year.
