Hermann Consten's book launched
On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany, a launch of a two-volume book ‘The Pasture Places of the Mongols –In the Realm of the Chalcha’ by German travel writer and Mongolian explorer Hermann Consten, photography exhibition and scientific conference ‘Hermann Consten’s inheritance and works’ were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia on October 22.
Eco-friendly advanced technology in use to reduce air pollution
A work is ongoing to replace low-pressure boilers of 20 schools and kindergartens, located in the air quality improvement zone, with electrical and advanced geothermal heating and gas heating technology. Within this framework, a gas heating equipment that has replaced low pressure boilers of school #139 and kindergarten #221 of Chingeltei district has been put into operation on October 18.
Harvesting of vegetables completes
This week 233.5 thousand yields have been harvested nationwide, of which 167 thousand tons are vegetables, 70.2 thousand tons of fodder and 51 thousand tons of oil plants, reported the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry.
1000-cubic meter water reservoir put into operation
A 1000-cubic meter concrete water reservoir of Bayankhoshuu subcenter was put into operation on October 19. Built within the Ulaanbaatar Urban Services and Ger Areas Development Investment Program (GADIP), the water reservoir with booster pump station and 3.7 km water transmission pipeline enables 13,163 people of 3466 households residing in Bayankhoshuu subcenter to be provided with drinking water.
Mongolian wrestlers claim three gold medals
Mongolian freestyle wrestlers grabbed three gold, three silver and one bronze, or 7 medals in total from the 27th annual international tournament named after by Boris Dugdanovich Budaev, a well-known Buryat wrestler. This tournament was held in Ulan-Ude, Buryatia, Russian Federation last weekend.
