It is significant that the Group of 77 ministers convene online to discuss solutions and policies and share their experiences on how to overcome challenges and implement SDGs at a time when the pandemic is having a devastating impact on the societies and economies of developing countries, emphasized Ms. Battsetseg in her remarks.

She also noted the Mongolian Government’s consistent implementation of its ‘Vision 2050’ long-term development policy document in line with the ‘2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’ and underscored that the actions for economic recovery, green development policy and vaccination are yielding results.

In the conclusion of her remarks, Ms. Battsetseg said that the significance of South-South and trilateral cooperation would continue to grow in the present when the pandemic threat has not yet disappeared, and in post-epidemic period, and reaffirmed Mongolia’s commitment to contribute to global efforts for peace, security, economy and sustainable development and work closely with member states.
