Burn Treatment Center to open in first half of 2021

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Mongolia Mohammad Faisal Al-Mutairi on March 26 to discuss relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Kuwait.
At the meeting, Minister B.Battsetseg noted that last year was the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and reaffirmed the government’s willingness to further strengthen the friendly relaitons and expand cooperation. Stressing the importance of major projects and programs being implemented with aid from Kuwait, the Foreign Minister informed the Ambassador that efforts are underway to open the Burn Treatment Center in the first half of this year.
After congratulating the Minister on her appointment and relaying a congratulatory message from her Kuwaiti counterpart, Ambassador Mohammad Faisal Al-Mutairi expressed pleasure that bilateral cooperation is expanding. The Ambasador said the sides could cooperate in tourism and air transport, emphasizing the importance of establishing the agreements for that.
While discussing cooperation in COVID-19 response, Minister B.Battsetseg said Mongolia has started receiving vaccines via COVAX program and thanked the government of Kuwait for contributing to the program.
