Thunderstorm forecast prompts flood warning

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. As thunderstorms are expected in some parts of the eastern region, in the northern part of the western region, and in the eastern part of the aimags in central and Gobi region today on August 6, the National Emergency Management Agency has issued a warning for flood and strong winds.
With thunderstorms forecasts in some parts of the western and central region on August 7, and in some parts of the central, Gobi, and eastern region on August 8 and 9, it is also expected in the northern part of the western aimags and in the eastern aimags on August 10, and in the eastern part of western aimags and in central aimags on August 11, continuing throughout the week.
Wind speed will reach 15-17 m/sec in the Altai mountains on August 10, and in the central region on August 11.
In mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul and Khentei, in the basin of Terelj river, the night-time temperature will range from +3 to +8 degrees Celsius, and the daytime temperature will be +15 to +20.
In the depression of the Great Lakes and in the southern Gobi region, the temperature will be +17 to +22 during the night, and +31 to +36 during the day.
In other areas, the night-time temperature will be +10 to +15 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be +20 to +25 degrees Celsius.
