Prime Minister starts rural visit from Uvurkhangai aimag

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh is on working visit to Uvurkhangai, Bayankhongor and Gobi-Altai aimags on May 7-10, aiming to hold meetings with local administrations and citizens, get familiar with socio-economic situations and operations of hospitals, schools and SMEs and resolve pressing issues.
The PM’s rural working tour commenced from Uvurkhangai aimag. As soon as arriving the aimag, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh met with staff of the aimag’s governor office, heard about its urgent matters and socio-economic situation and assigned them to reinforce an official order of the Government on accountability and discipline.
Following the meeting, the PM and accompanying government members attended an opening of an action of the year namely, ‘Veterinary preventive measures’ which will run between May 1 and October 20 nationwide every year.
“Within the government’s goal to develop animal husbandry sector sustainable, provide citizens with guaranteed and safe foods and become ‘food exporter’, it is prioritized to make animals healthy and prevent livestock from contagious diseases. For this reason, we are launching this activity throughout the country, addressed the PM at the opening.
Afterwards, he held a meeting with local citizens and made decisions to construct a pediatric hospital in the aimag, school building for 320 children in Arvaikheer city and power plant in Khujirt soum, install a fiber optic cable in Bogd soum, complete an unfinished building for school ‘Merged’ and provide seniors’ development centers of 13 soums with necessary equipment. In addition, the Vocational Training and Production Center of the aimag will be provided with necessary facility, Book Palace of Children and a sewing factory will be set up, planning of a bridge over Orkhon River will be worked out for construction as well as others.
The Prime Minister is being accompanied by G.Zandanshatar, head of the Cabinet Secretariat, Ts.Tsogzolmaa, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, D.Sarangerel, Minister of Health, S.Chinzorig, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, B.Batzorig, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and some members of the Parliament.
