Mongolia wants to learn South Korean experiences on social welfare

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ N.Uchral MP met a delegation led by Seo Sang-mok, Chairperson of the Korea National Council on Social Welfare (KNCSW), on October 31.

N.Uchral MP expressed his satisfaction with meeting representatives of the KNCSW and then said it is vital for Mongolia to learn South Korean experiences on social welfare and develop cooperation in it because South Korea maintains a good policy on the welfare for people with disabilities and targeted group. He briefed about the Mongolian social welfare policy, legal landscape and welfare services for people with disabilities.

In response, Seo Sang-mok thanked N.Uchral MP for the audience and appreciated the MP’s role in working out a state policy on ensuring and protecting rights of children with disabilities as well as commissioning a private kindergarten with own fund. He gave some information about the social welfare policy of South Korea and functions of social welfare organizations.

The parties also exchanged views on the social welfare policy of both countries.
