PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Information and Research Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environment reports on the weather forecast for March.
In western region of the country, temperatures will remain between -6-11 Degrees with multi-year average precipitation. Northern parts of the region will see -12-17 Degrees whereas southern parts of Altai will see 0-5 Degrees. Southern parts of the region will see snowfall in the beginning of the first 10 days and most parts in the middle of the first and second 10 days. Precipitation will fall in northern parts of the western region in the middle of the third 10 days with snow in mountainous areas.
In central region, average temperatures will be between -6-11 Degrees in most parts and -12-17 Degrees in depression of Darkhad. Snow will fall in southern parts of the central region in the early first 10 days and most parts in the middle of the first and third 10 days and early second 10 days. Precipitation is forecasted in some parts in the third 10 days.
In eastern region of the country, average temperatures will remain between -5-10 Degrees with multi-year average precipitation in most parts. Northern parts of Khentii and Dornog aimags will see precipitation above than multi-year average. Most parts of the region will see snowfall in the beginning of the first 10 days, eastern parts in the middle of the first 10 days, and some parts in the second 10 days. In the last 10 days, some parts will see precipitation with snowfall in mountainous areas.
In Gobi region of the country, average temperatures will be between 0-4 Degrees or 0.5-1.0 Degrees warmer than multi-year average in most parts except northern parts of Dundgobi and Dornogobi and Gobi-Sumber where temperatures will be -5-10 Degrees. Some parts of the region will see slight snowfall in the beginning and middle of the first 10 days, and precipitation in the middle of the second and third 10 days.
