Recommendation released on mental health of youngsters
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Consultation themed “Inter-sector cooperation in protection of youths’ mental health” was held Thursday in Ulaanbaatar.
This event was attended by 120 representatives and officials from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the Administrative Office of Ulaanbaatar, the Permanent Representative Offices of UNICEF and WHO in Mongolia, health divisions of aimags, social workers and pupils.
After discussing suicide phenomena among youngsters, the participants watched a documentary film about mental health challenges, and considered reports on ongoing measures for supporting mental health of teenagers which are being taken by the National Center of Mental Health and the Health Division of Ulaanbaatar city.
The consulation was resulted in releasing a recommendation which will be delivered to the relevant Ministries, the Administrative Office of UB, children’s organizations, education bodies, media organizations, private institutions and parents.
