The Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics has reported that a strong earthquake occurred in Gobi-Altai aimag. More specifically, a 6.0 magnitude earthquake was detected at a depth of 10 km. The quake was recorded 46 km to the northeast of Altai soum, Gobi-Altai aimag at 11.04 pm on January 17.
