President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa Meets with Residents of Nalaikh District

Ulaanbaatar, April 8, 2026 /MONTSAME/. President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa is working in Nalaikh District today, where he met with local residents.
During the
meeting, the President presented updates on the implementation of initiatives
and programs he has initiated, as well as the country’s current socio-economic
conditions.
He expressed
his appreciation for meeting with the hardworking citizens of Nalaikh District,
historically known as the cradle of Mongolia’s mining sector, whose workers
have made significant contributions to the nation’s development and prosperity.
He also highlighted that more than 10 students from the district are currently
studying at leading universities around the world under the “President’s
Scholar-2100” Program.
The president also
presented the portrait of Great Chinggis Khaan to the district and awarded state
honors and medals to distinguished citizens of Nalaikh who have achieved outstanding
success in their respective fields.
Among the
honorees, Gelegjamts S., former head of the Education Department of the Nalaikh
District Governor Office and associate professor with a doctorate in
engineering, was awarded the title of Honored Teacher.
In addition, other residents of the districts were awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of the Polar Star, and the Medal of Honor for Labor by presidential decree, according to the Office of the President of Mongolia.
