Need to Strengthen Relations Between Legislative Bodies Highlighted

Ulaanbaatar, April 6, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Member of Parliament and Head of the Mongolia–Albania Parliamentary Group, Naranbaatar Nanzad, met with Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Mongolia, Riza Poda, on April 3.
During the meeting, MP Naranbaatar explained that,
following amendments to Mongolia’s Constitution, the State Great Khural
(Parliament) was formed with 126 members for the first time after the 2024
regular elections. He also noted that the Mongolia–Albania Parliamentary Group
currently has 10 members.
He expressed gratitude that Albania was the
third country to recognize Mongolia’s independence and establish diplomatic
relations. He emphasized the need to expand cooperation between the two
countries in areas such as the economy, tourism, education, healthcare,
culture, and mining.
Ambassador Riza Poda stressed the importance of
strengthening relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries. In
this context, he stated that he would actively work within his authority to
enhance cooperation between the parliamentary groups of both countries.
He also highlighted that there is strong
potential to elevate cooperation in the tourism sector to a new level and
emphasized that both sides need to work actively together to achieve this.
On the same day, Ambassador Riza Poda
presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh
Ukhnaa.
