Children’s Central Library Implementing Programs for Children and Youth
Society
Ulaanbaatar, April 2, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The Children’s Central Library is organizing two main programs as part of the independent study week for secondary school students, which is running throughout this week.
These
include a guided tour titled “Book World Week” and a training program called “Discover
Your Future.” The activities aim to foster a reading culture among children and
teenagers, while also supporting their independent development.
As
part of the “Discover Your Future” program, training sessions on peer bullying
are being conducted. The sessions provide both theoretical knowledge on
prevention and practical advice for children. In addition, students are
actively participating in book exchange activities, where they bring books,
they have read, write thank-you notes or letters to one another, and share their
reading experiences.
Teachers
from the Mongolia-Korea Polytechnic College are also delivering combined
theoretical and practical training in handicrafts, sewing, wool and cashmere
processing, and leatherwork, giving students hands-on experience. This initiative
is being implemented under the “White Gold” program initiated by the President
of Mongolia.
Students
are also visiting cultural heritage exhibitions, exploring the five halls of
the library, and attending events where children’s authors introduce their
works and hold book signings.
During
the independent study week, secondary school students can register for library
membership, allowing them to use the library throughout the year.
In addition to reading room services, the Children’s Central Library regularly organizes cultural and public events, open days, competitions, and various educational programs.
