Narantuya Wins Back-to-Back Asian Snooker Championship Titles

Ulaanbaatar, February 9, 2026 /MONTSAME/. At the 2026 Asian Snooker Championship held in Doha, Qatar, Mongolian athlete and International Master Narantuya B. claimed the gold medal.


In the group stage, she defeated players from Hong Kong and India in succession to advance to the quarterfinals as the top-ranked competitor in her group. In the quarterfinals, she secured a 3:0 victory over Hong Kong’s Wang Ka Kai, guaranteeing at least a bronze medal and confirming her third career medal at the Asian Championships. She then advanced to the final after defeating one of Hong Kong’s leading players, Ho Yee Ki, also by a score of 3:0 in the semifinals.


Just moments ago, in the final match for the gold medal, Narantuya B. defeated India’s Kirthana Pandian 3:1 (44:42, 59:1, 17:49, 57:6). As a result, the “Elite Snooker” club athlete has won the Asian Championship title for the second consecutive year, becoming a two-time Asian champion.
