Prime Minister of Mongolia Pays Courtesy Call on President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai paid a courtesy call on the
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is on a
State Visit to Mongolia.
Prime
Minister Oyun-Erdene emphasized Mongolia's commitment to fostering relations
and cooperation with Central Asian countries, particularly Kazakhstan, and affirmed Mongolia’s commitment to
expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation with Kazakhstan. The Premier highlighted that this State Visit, the first by the Head of State of Kazakhstan
in 16 years, will play a pivotal role in strengthening and expanding the
relations and cooperation between the two countries.
During the State Visit, the two countries advanced their relations to a “Strategic Partnership,” marking an essential milestone in their cooperation. With this development, Kazakhstan has become Mongolia’s first “Strategic Partner” in Central Asia. Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene expressed Mongolia’s intention to work closely with the Government of Kazakhstan to implement the initiatives agreed upon by the two Heads of State, with a focus on expanding and developing the “Strategic Partnership” between Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
President
Tokayev commended Mongolia’s “Vision-2050” Long-Term Development Policy and
highlighted the potential for implementing economically beneficial joint
projects that could serve as hallmarks of bilateral cooperation. The two sides
acknowledged the importance of enhancing economic cooperation by removing
transportation and logistics barriers, establishing new and efficient routes,
and expanding air connectivity to boost tourism and people-to-people exchanges.
The
Kazakh side expressed gratitude for the USD 200,000 humanitarian aid provided
by the Government of Mongolia in response to the flood damage in
Kazakhstan this April.
